Morynne at Marks-365: Kirix is one of the 10 challenge tames from the 4.2 patch. Once tamed, there’s nothing special to him other than the coloration — but it’s a challenge to make him yours.
Kirix lives in the Molten Front on Fireplume Ridge. If you haven’t unlocked the “Into the Fire” quest, you might have a difficult time getting to his area.
This is a reasonably easy tame, you just have to know where to pull him from. Along the ridge, you’ll see small platforms scattered all over leading up to the firehawk area. You’ll want to use these to your advantage. It’s worth noting that he’s immune to Ice Traps, so don’t bother. … Read Full Article.
Please just make one big taming post… Maybe split them up between Wrath and Cata rares (though the Wrath rares are a matter of: Fly there, Target beast, click tame) and that’s it.
For taming individual pets, youtube / wowhead suffices. No need to up the posts-counter by making one post / beast.
I think it’s nice to have the separate posts.
When I was beginning Hunter, I had no idea of the types of pets, or the rares, or where to find them.
It’s great to be able to find a great big list with giant shiney pictures to decide what i want to hunt ;p
I usually direct beginning hunters to Petopia for the giant shiney pictures, where they can see the abilities too.
And when they click a nice skin, they see the link to WoWhead.
Though I´m not sure why there should be 15+ different pet tame posts. But I am probably wrong. I´ll just check the site even more often, because with this many miniposts the 6 most recent posts on the front page fade really fast.
The reason to make different posts for each is to make them easier for people to find. I’m backfilling the WHU with some of the rare pet info that was missing — I’m also posting my regular WHU post in addition to the rare pet post each day. As a result, there’s a lot more posts than usual at the moment — sorry about that.
However, there has never yet been a day when a current day’s post got pushed off the first page. So thus far just checking out the first page once a day should get you all the hunter info from around the web, without the strain of clicking the Older Posts button and looking at a second page.
