doesn’t seem to work anymore, atleast not for me. now as soon as i LoS him i get ported back down, tried quite a few times and same thing happened each time.
When I have destroyed about 1/3 of the eggs adds begin to spawn. Am I doing anything wrong?
Getting ported down does happen occasionally. It seems a little inconsistent as to what causes it, when he does just pop a deterrence and get back up on the ledge as fast as you can.
With Adds spawning make sure when you do the half-reset (making the adds despawn originally) that the front gate to the encounter is open. If it is closed you will often get respawns, sometimes you will not. Make sure you’re jumping off the ledge AS SOON as you hear the controller yell “We have regained Controll”, and when you’re MC’ing Razorgore make sure you do not let the MC expire on its own, you want dismiss him BEFORE your debuff falls off and then re-MC when it does fall off.
Razorgore keeps getting killed. The adds come and kill him. I’m on the agro table, hiding in the back corner of that little ledge, same place as the video, but the adds just slaughter razoregore everytime.
Razorgore can die if you’re not at the top of his agro table, if you’re on the top of his agro table and he’s unable to hit you in any way his health will bounce back up to 100% immediatly. Make sure he’s not too high up the ramp or his ranged attack will be able to hit you which will keep his health from resetting. Keep at it, trust me every hunter who has tried this struggles for a few attempts but after you get it down BWL is sooo much fun!
FYI to WHH, I have pulled this video offline and I’m in the process of replacing it. The audio is out of sync by about 10 seconds starting a few minutes in. If this encounter was less tricky I wouldn’t worry about it but this encounter needs to be done in such a particular way that I had to make the hard decision of pulling it down :(. The replacement will be up very soon, it’s saving/uploading as I type this.
Hopefully I haven’t caused you guys too much trouble with having to recode this page to link to the proper video.

OK, got it to “We have regained Controll” and i go back out and kill the 3 other npcs, but taking controll of Razorgoe is near impossible. he keeps me feared/MC’d or someother CC ability. Once I gain controll, i see no way of dropping control. How do you release from the orb before time runs out? There is no icons or indicators or buffs on mt that i can see to click on.

Fantastic guide. I never realised that 1) you could effectively bug this first boss to get trhough and b) you don’t even need to be in a raid anymore if attuned!
Tried it yesterday, and although I found it a bit harder than the video makes it appear (due to my lower skill-level than teh video maker :-) ) after 3 failed tries I nailed it.
That said, one small comment. The statement that the rest of the bosses are not that hard, is wrong on one account: Chromaggus
If you don’t know the mechanics (or like me only remembered them after agro’ing him :-) ) you’ll get mind controlled, your pet dies and the boss resets and you are waiting for 5 minutes until you get control of your character back. And then you have to portal out to pick up the stuff you forgot… :-)
Back in the old days I only had to worry about use tranq-shot and the bronze one, and when 2+ manning it he dies before you get all the debufs anyway. But solo …
So bring a poison dispell poition os something, before entering!

I had an issue with this earlier trying it for the first few times. I finally got it placed and thought it would reset. Either the controller despawned or was killed and I was on the top of the aggro table. Nothing happened…I peeked out of the little hallway and they were all “staring at me and then started to fight Razorgore again..this happened a few time..then I jumped back off the ledge and they killed Razorgore. Any ideas?
If the Controller is dead the adds will not leave which means you won’t be able to perform the half-reset. The controller can only be killed after the reset and if Razor is agro’d and the front gate is open.
The gate closes once I dismiss razorgore to retake control before the MC process runs out and the adds start spawning shortly after… what am I doing wrong? Has this glitch or whatever been hotfixed or something?
I’ve been trying many times by now, and I always ensure the emote is said and jump down imediately, controller isn’t killed unless I have aggro and the front gate is open.

(I wasn’t dismissing before the debuff ran out, but rather just after /bonk)
hey glad to see you got it covered! hopefully BWL loot is now over flowing your bags, at this point since I have all the loot I like to kill Razor on the hunter and clear the rest of it on an alt for all their t2 gear.

Took a few goes to get it right, getting Razorgore in the right place but your instructions are spot on!
I’ve already got Chromaggus and my T2 transmogging gear so I think I’ll do as you suggest and send an alt through :D

You have to have Razergore’s aggro when
you jump on the ledge – if he is attacking
the controller – when you jump, the adds
wont spawn – or at least i have to jump
back down – get his agro and jump again.
I jump to the ledge at “abt” 8 secs b4 the adds spawn – any sooner n u get ported down.
run right to the back of the balcony.
watch ur 60sec debuff when u MC razergore
then as the vid says at 3-5 secs left
right click razers portrait and Dismiss
(this keeps the gate open)
[EDIT] – meant to add:
when u dismiss razer at 3-5 secs
You w8 till the debuff is gone before taking control of him again.
in other words the gate will close if ur still controling razer when the
debuff wears off, once the gate closes, the adds start spawning.
Whenever I drop control of him the gate shuts and spawns come, I am not letting it wear off.
