A new build for Patch 5.1 will be deployed on the public test realms soon, with a few more changes data-mined for hunters and pets:
Marksmanship
- Careful Aim: Increases the critical strike chance of your Steady Shot and Aimed Shot by 75% on targets who are above 80% health. [down from 90% health]

Clench: The scorpid clenches the enemy’s weapons with its claws, disarming their weapons and shield for 8 sec. [down from 10 sec.]

Surface Trot: Allows the Hunter and the Water Strider to walk across water. Any damage will cancel the effect. [removed unlimited range]

I don’t play MM but it’s nice to see a buff for those who do.
I doubt anyone is actually playing MM, and to be honest this won’t really change its current performance.
I can see that with this, and the previous PTR builds they are definitely trying to boost MM up. Whether it will be a viable spec when coupled with the BM nerfs…. probably not.
depends on how heavy handed the BM nerfs are. The pvp community is raging now that we have a viable pvp spec. (cata MM wasn’t really a viable spec, some very skilled players made it look decent but really wasn’t a viable spec even then). And GC recent post has us at the top of the nerf bat list. They’ve already chopped our pet protection off BW….and there is a dps nerf, a heavy one, on the way. More than likely they’ll do just what they did in lich king and nerf BM to the ground and forget about it. Its too hard for them to try to “balance” BW and readiness. Even though the classes that are bitching….are rogues mages and warriors….three classes that have always owned the burst pvp top spots.
