Where does intelligence stop? (2/18/13)
Crotalus Horridus wondered where that fine line of “too intelligent to be tamed” was, kicking off a debate that ultimately concluded “it depends.”
Rawr and Slapperfish noticed that some beetles use crab sounds rather than the usual noises.
Dire Horns: what are they good for? (3/8/13)
Nachtwulf kicked off a discussion about the dire horn family ability, reflective armor plating. Initial research shows that some physical abilities can be deflected as well, despite the tooltip reading “spells.” The main difference discussed was turtles vs. dire horns: turtles have a flat 50% damage reduction for 12 seconds, while dire horns can completely deflect some special abilities cast during RAP’s six second duration. Are dire horns “too niche” or not being used as intended? The discussion continues.
Where the Wild Things Are in Patch 5.2 (3/7/13)
Kalliope confirmed that the spirit porcupines’ spawn timers have remained short on live servers. Myzou noted that Strong Will disappears at 30% on live servers, rather than the 20% found on the PTR.
Varethyn took the reins of the PetEmote project from Teigan, adding in new dire horn emotes (largely the work of Falconcrest) for patch 5.2.
Featured Transmogrification of the Week (3/8/13)
This week’s featured transmogrification was created by Airwyn.
